From Kahala Moon Featuring Mahina Souza and Kahala Mossman Kahala Moon's debut album features a collection of original soulful contemporary songs that are honest, humorous and reflective of their island influences and musical heritage. These young women were destined to perform and compose music. They have the music in their blood! Their grandmothers, the late Irmgard Aluli and the late Bina Mossman, have composed many popular Hawaiian and hapa-haole songs that continue to be recorded and played today. Mahina and Kahala pay tribute to grandma Irmgard Aluli by recording grandma's cute, sassy song entitled "Kumu Kalidadidi" on their debut album. Musika Featuring Young Filipino Talent! Kona-Kai Distributing announces Hula Records International's latest release - PINOY MUSIKA - featuring some of Hawai`i's best young Filipino talent, singing in Ilocano, Tagalog, and other Filipino dialects. The eight women and four men who participated in this recording have all had professional vocal training; some have won singing competitions while others have sung professionally here or in the Philippines, prior to moving to Hawai`i.
